- OVERVIEW
Prim-U Store is a B2B online marketplace connecting verified suppliers of natural and sustainable ingredients with buyers in the cosmetics, personal care, and wellness industries.
This Selling Policy establishes the rules, standards, and responsibilities governing all seller activities on the Prim-U Store platform. By listing products on the marketplace, you agree to comply with this Policy, the Prim-U Seller Agreement, and all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- SELLER ELIGIBILITY
To sell on Prim-U Store, a seller must:
2.1. Be a legally registered business with a valid company registration number and tax identification.
2.2. Provide accurate company information, including business name, registered address, and contact details.
2.3. Maintain all necessary certifications, permits, and documentation relevant to the product category (e.g., COSMOS, ECOCERT, ISO, Organic certification if applicable).
2.4. Agree to regular product, documentation, and compliance reviews conducted by Prim-U Store.
2.5. Ensure that all company representatives involved in marketplace activities are authorized and compliant with applicable regulations. - PRODUCT STANDARDS
Sellers are required to:
3.1. List only authentic, natural, and compliant products that meet all applicable quality, safety, and industry standards.
3.2. Provide accurate product descriptions, including botanical name, origin, extraction method, batch number, shelf life, and storage conditions.
3.3. Avoid misleading or unverified claims (e.g., “100% pure” without supporting evidence).
3.4. Ensure product samples provided match listed specifications.
3.5. Cooperate with Prim-U Store in removing or suspending any listing that does not meet quality, safety, or ethical sourcing requirements.
3.6. Maintain proper documentation for each product listing, including Certificates of Analysis (CoA), Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and other regulatory documents. - PRICING AND PAYMENT
4.1. Sellers set their own prices, which must be fair, competitive, and not misleading.
4.2. All transactions on the Prim-U Store platform are denominated in [USD/ZAR or both].
4.3. Payments are processed securely through the Prim-U platform. Disbursements to sellers occur within [7–14 business days] following successful delivery and buyer confirmation.
4.4. Sellers are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or levies related to their sales.
4.5. Prim-U Store may verify pricing practices and reserves the right to request adjustments if pricing is deemed unfair or misleading. - ORDER FULFILMENT AND DELIVERY
5.1. Sellers must confirm orders promptly and dispatch goods within the stated handling time.
5.2. Packaging must meet industry standards to prevent damage, contamination, or spoilage.
5.3. Tracking information must be provided once the order ships.
5.4. Sellers must comply with all applicable domestic and international shipping regulations and provide necessary export documentation, including MSDS, CoA, invoices, and packing lists.
5.5. Sellers should maintain records of order fulfilment and delivery for audit and dispute resolution purposes.
5.6. Suppliers are to process orders within 7–14 business days. - RETURNS, REFUNDS, AND DISPUTE RESOLUTIONS
6.1. Returns are accepted only for damaged, defective, or incorrectly supplied goods due to the B2B nature of the marketplace.
6.2. Sellers must respond to dispute cases within 5 business days.
6.3. In case of quality or specification disputes, Prim-U Store may request supporting documentation or independent third-party verification.
6.4. Repeated disputes, unresolved claims, or failure to respond may result in suspension or delisting from the platform.
6.5. Sellers should maintain a clear internal process to track complaints, returns, and resolutions. - PROHIBITED PRACTICES
Sellers may not:
7.1. List counterfeit, adulterated, or fraudulent products.
7.2. Engage in direct off-platform transactions with Prim-U buyers.
7.3. Manipulate reviews, ratings, or other marketplace metrics.
7.4. Misuse buyer data, confidential information, or intellectual property.
7.5. Engage in unethical or unsustainable sourcing practices.
7.6. Violation of these rules may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the platform. - SUSTAINABILITY AND ETHICS
Prim-U Store promotes sustainable sourcing and transparent supply chains. Sellers are encouraged to:
8.1. Disclose sourcing regions, supply chain practices, and community impact.
8.2. Use environmentally responsible packaging and materials.
8.3. Participate in the Prim-U Sustainability Program to earn verified badges (e.g., “Sustainably Sourced” or “Community Empowered”).
8.4. Avoid practices that may harm the environment, local communities, or biodiversity. - COMPLIANCE AND AUDIT
Prim-U Store reserves the right to:
9.1. Audit seller documentation and product quality.
9.2. Conduct random product testing to verify compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
9.3. Require corrective action if non-compliance is identified, including suspension of listings until compliance is restored. - CONFIDENTIALITY AND DATA PROTECTION
10.1. Sellers must handle buyer and marketplace data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
10.2. Any sharing or misuse of confidential information will result in disciplinary action, including possible removal from the platform. - POLICY UPDATES
11.1. This policy may be revised periodically to reflect marketplace improvements, regulatory changes, or operational updates.
11.2. Sellers will be notified of material updates in advance.
11.3. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. - AGREEMENT CONFIRMATION
By listing products on the Prim-U Store, sellers confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with this Selling Policy and all related agreements.
